MRI full form stands for Magnetic Resonance Imaging. It is a medical imaging technique used in radiology to create images of the anatomy and physiological processes of the body.
MRI scanners use strong magnetic fields, magnetic field shields, and radio waves to produce images of organs in the body. MRI does not include the use of X-rays or ionizing radiation, which distinguishes it from CT and PET scans.

MRI is used industrially for routine analysis of chemicals. Nuclear magnetic resonance techniques are also used, for example, to measure the ratio between water and fat in food, to monitor the flow of corrosive liquids in pipes, or to study molecular structures such as catalysts.

Compared to CT scans, MRI scans usually take more time and more effort, and this article usually needs to fit into a narrow and narrow tube. While the risks of ionizing radiation are now well-controlled in most medical contexts, an MRI can still be seen as a better option than a CT scan.
