MRF full form stands for Madras Rubber Factory. Madras Rubber Factory (MRF) is an Indian multinational tire manufacturing company and the largest tire manufacturer in India, the sixth-largest in the world. It is headquartered in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

Brief History

Mamoun Maple had set up a toy balloon manufacturing unit in 1946 at the Travator in Madurai (now Chennai). In 1952, the company began manufacturing rubber. The Madras Rubber Factory was incorporated as a private company in November 1960 and was engaged in tire manufacturing in partnership with Mansfield Tire & Rubber Company, Ohio, USA.

The company went public on April 1, 1961, and in 1964 an office was established in Beirut, Lebanon to develop the export market, and the current logo of its muscles was created. In 1967, it became the first Indian company to export tires to the United States.

Services

The company manufactures rubber products, including tires, tubes, tubes, and conveyor belts, paints, and toys. MRF also runs MRF Pace Foundation, Chennai, and MRF Challenge in Motorsport.
