Brief History

Mahashay Chunnilal Gulati founded the Masala Company in Sialkot in 1919. British India has been located in the Punjab province of Pakistan since 1947. It is affiliated with the Monsieur Chunilal Charitable Trust.

After the partition of India, the founder’s son, Mahashe Dharmapala Galati moved to Delhi. He opened a shop in the hut and started selling spices like his father. Later, he opened his shop at Ajmal Khan Road, Karol Bagh, and spread from there.

Achievements

At the age of 94, Dharmapala was the CEO of Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), the highest-paid company in India in 2017. He took home more than 210 million in salary last fiscal year.

Today MDH has almost 62 products in more than 150 different packages. These include ground and mixed spices, which are preservative-free. MDH also sells other products, such as saffron.
