EWS Full Form
EWS Full Form Is Economically Weaker Section. The definition of family in the EWS reservation is:-“The person seeking the reservation, their parents/siblings and siblings under the age of 18, and their spouse and children under the age of 18”.
In India, this is a category of people, belonging to the general category, whose annual household income is less than 800,000 rupees (11,000 US dollars), does not belong to any category of SC/ST/OBC within India, nor does it belong to MBC, Tamil, Nadu.
Candidates whose family income exceeds the prescribed limit (800,000) will be regarded as candidates in the general category, rather than candidates in the EWS category.
President Ram Nath Kovind approved the bill on January 12, 2019, and the official gazette on the bill was published and became law. The 103rd Amendment to the Constitution of India, which came into effect on January 14, 2019, amends Articles 15 and 16 of the Constitution of India to allow 10% of the EWS Full Form (Economically Weaker Section) category to be reserved. Many state government departments approved the law and announced their intention to implement a 10% early warning reservation.
Eligibility for EWS Quota
- The candidate’s annual household income should be less than Rs. 800,000 per year.
- His family must not own more than 5 acres of farmland.
- The apartment must be less than 1,000 square feet.
- If located in the reporting municipality, the residential land area must be less than 100 square yards.
- If not reported, the residential land area of the municipal department must be less than 200 square yards.

EWS Full Form Is Economically Weaker Section. EWS is a sub-category of Indian people, these people belong to the general category, but the annual income is Rs. 100,000, does not belong to any other reserved categories, such as SC, ST, OBC. People with a family income of more than 100,000 will be regarded as broad people, not EWS people.
