CCNA full form stands for Cisco Certified Network Associate. CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) is an Information Technology (IT) certification from Cisco Systems. The CCNA certification is a partner-level Cisco career certification.
In 2020, Cisco announced an update to its certification program stating that “stable and up-to-date peer-level training and certification.”
Cisco has in the past consolidated a variety of Cisco Certified Network Associates with generic CCNA certifications. The CCNA certification period is 3 years. Certificate holders are required to register and pass the same or higher level Cisco Re-Certification Examination every 3 years for renewal.
The content of the exam is proprietary. Cisco and its learning partners offer a wide variety of training methods, including books published by Cisco Press and online and classroom courses, which are “to connect to integrate Cisco network devices”.
To get the CCNA certificate, candidates must pass Cisco Exam # 200-301. On completion of the exam, the candidates get the score breakout and passing score for the examination given through the exam section along with the score report.
The exam tests candidates for the knowledge and skills required to establish, operate, and troubleshoot a small to medium-sized enterprise branch network.
The importance of this exam is very huge as it covers a wide range of basic principles, including basic network theory, network access, IP connectivity, automation, basic security principles, IP services, and programmability.
